Remembering Dad

One of my most recent memories of dad is how he used to just sit a play his guitar and get lost in his little world. Talking to dad, for me, would seem like he was listening but not really. Anyone know what I mean? Anyway, I love the picture mom has on her fridge because he's got the big grin on his face.

Mom said the other day that Dad sure would have loved Dori. I envy all of the in-laws who knew dad because Dori won't meet him until we're in heaven. I think he would have loved her too, he would have teased her a lot but he would have loved her.

Dad

Hi Everyone! I've been wanting to create a new memorial site for Dad ever since my last one went away. Since Father's Day is coming up, it seemed like a good time to start a new one. I don't have pictures of Dad on this computer, but I will work on that next. I just think this can be a cool way to share memories of Dad.

One day Sis was showing me some music manuscript that Dad had written out and I told her that I used to 'translate' bass clef music for him because he could only read treble clef. She said she never knew that he didn't read bass clef.

I realized that each one of us has all these tidbits of information that the others may or may not know, but either way, it would be fun to share!!! I know I think about Dad all the time - funny things that he might say or do, things that make me smile - like how he would show-up for my softball games in his uniform - straight from work. I can still picture him walking up to the bleachers...

So, I invite everyone to share random memories in honor of Dad and please invite anyone else to do so too. Also, if anyone happens to have Sue Callen's letter about Dad singing to her on her birthday - please type that in. If not, I'll search for my copy.

Also, if you want to write to Dad (and share with the rest of us)- I'm sure somehow the message will get to his spirit -

Please post often!
Love you all,
Rosalie
